Terms of Service

1. Parties & Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between GBCH Consulting LLC, doing business as A1 Lux Rentals (“A1 Lux Rentals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 3 Allied Drive, Suite 303, Dedham, MA 02026, and the individual named on the rental reservation (“Renter,” “you,” or “your”).

By completing a booking, paying a security deposit, or taking possession of a rental vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

2. Eligibility & Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle from A1 Lux Rentals, the primary renter must meet all of the following requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
• Renters aged 21–24 are subject to a Young Driver Fee of $30 per day.
• Hold active personal auto insurance that will cover the rental vehicle for the full duration of the trip. Insurance is verified automatically at booking through our integrated insurance verification system. If you do not have qualifying personal auto insurance, Protection Packages are available at checkout at a daily rate.
• Successfully complete our Integrated Driver Validation process, which includes uploading a photo of your physical driver’s license and a matching selfie.
• Provide a valid credit or debit card for the security deposit hold.

3. Additional Drivers

Additional drivers are permitted at no extra fee, provided each additional driver meets the same eligibility requirements as the primary renter, including minimum age (21+), valid physical license, and successful completion of the Driver Validation process prior to the rental start date.

Only approved drivers listed on the reservation may operate the vehicle. Allowing an unauthorized driver to operate the vehicle voids all protections and may result in full liability for any damages incurred.

4. Rental Period & Minimum Stay

All self-drive vehicle rentals are subject to a minimum rental period of three (3) days. Single-day or overnight rentals are not available at this time.

The rental period begins at the scheduled pickup time and ends at the scheduled return time as confirmed in your booking. Any changes to the rental period must be approved by A1 Lux Rentals in writing prior to pickup.

5. Mileage Policy

Mileage overages are calculated at the end of the rental based on odometer readings at pickup and return. Overage charges will be deducted from the security deposit or charged to the card on file.

6. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of $500 is required and will be held on the card on file 2 days before your scheduled pickup. The hold is placed automatically and released within 7 business days of the vehicle’s return, provided no claims, damage, violations, or outstanding charges exist (30 calendar days maximum).

The deposit may be partially or fully withheld to cover: mileage overages, fuel deficiency, late return fees, damage, cleaning fees, smoking fees, traffic violations, tolls, or any other charges arising from the rental.

7. Payment Options

A. Pay Later

Choose Pay Later to reserve your vehicle today with no charge at booking. Your card is verified at the time of reservation to confirm it is valid, but no amount is charged until the payment request is sent. Payment requests are sent automatically based on your booking window: 2 days before the trip start if booked 3–13 days in advance; 7 days before the trip start if booked 14+ days in advance. A $500 security deposit hold is placed separately, 2 days before pickup, and released after your trip. Payment must be completed upon request to confirm your rental.

B. Affirm — Pay Over Time

A1 Lux Rentals offers Affirm as a buy-now, pay-later payment option, allowing eligible renters to split the cost of their rental into simple, predictable payments — ideal for longer or higher-value trips.

• Pay in 4: 4 interest-free biweekly payments at 0% APR for eligible customers.
• Monthly Installments: 3 to 60-month plans available; rates range from 0% to 36% APR based on creditworthiness and subject to Affirm’s eligibility check.
• No late fees. No hidden fees. No prepayment penalties.
• Checking your eligibility does not affect your credit score.

7c. Trip Protection (Optional)

A1 Lux Rentals offers Trip Protection as an optional add-on at booking, provided through IMG Global (“iTravelInsured”). Trip Protection allows eligible renters to recoup their rental investment if an unexpected qualifying event prevents them from completing their trip.

Coverage includes:

• Trip Cancellation & Interruption — qualifying events include documented traffic accidents, illness or injury of the renter or travel companion, mandatory evacuations due to natural disasters, and inclement weather causing road closures.
• Medical Evacuation & Repatriation — emergency transportation to the nearest suitable medical facility, evacuation expenses, and companion visit coverage if hospitalized for 7+ days.

Key terms:

• Available to U.S. residents only.
• Must be purchased within 24 hours of booking confirmation.
• Booking must be confirmed at least 48 hours before departure.
• 10-day free look: If the trip is 10+ days away, renters may cancel Trip Protection within 10 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no claim has been filed and the trip has not yet begun.

8. Fuel Policy

All vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. The Renter agrees to return the vehicle with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, a refueling fee will be charged at current market fuel rates plus a $20 service fee. Alternatively, you may pre-purchase fuel at booking for a flat fee of $75, allowing you to return the vehicle at any fuel level without additional charges.

9. Late Return Policy

Repeated or excessive late returns may result in restrictions on future bookings. If you anticipate a late return, please contact us as soon as possible at (855) BOS-A1LUX.

10. Geographic Restrictions

Rental vehicles may only be operated within the New England states (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine) unless prior written approval has been granted by A1 Lux Rentals.

Requests to drive outside of New England must be submitted at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental start. Approval is at A1 Lux Rentals’ sole discretion and may be subject to additional terms or fees.

11. Prohibited Uses

The Renter agrees not to use the vehicle for any of the following purposes:

• Any illegal activity or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Off-road, unpaved road, or rough terrain driving.
• Racing, speed contests, or any form of competitive driving.
• Towing, pushing, or propelling any other vehicle or trailer.
• Transportation of hazardous materials.
• Rideshare or commercial hire purposes (e.g. Uber, Lyft, etc.).
• Operation by any driver not listed on the reservation.

12. No Smoking Policy

This policy applies to all passengers in the vehicle, not only the primary renter. The Renter is responsible for ensuring all occupants comply with this policy.

13. No Pets Policy

Pets of any kind are not permitted in any rental vehicle. Evidence of pet occupancy may result in additional cleaning fees at A1 Lux Rentals’ discretion.

14. Vehicle Condition at Return

The Renter agrees to return the vehicle in the same clean condition as received. If the vehicle is returned in a condition that requires extraordinary cleaning beyond normal use, a cleaning fee of $300 will be charged to the Renter.

A1 Lux Rentals conducts a vehicle inspection at both pickup and return. Any damage, soiling, or condition issues identified at return that were not present at pickup will be the Renter’s responsibility.

14a. Insurance & Coverage Options

All Renters must carry full, verifiable, and valid personal auto insurance covering the rental vehicle for the full rental period. Coverage is verified automatically at booking through our integrated insurance verification system prior to the rental start date.

Optional Protection Packages are available at checkout at a daily rate for Renters who require additional coverage. Each package provides varying levels of physical damage and liability coverage for the duration of the rental period.

The Roamly Rental Shield provides additional physical damage coverage on the vehicle during the rental period. Please note that the Roamly Rental Shield covers physical damage only and does not replace the Renter’s personal liability insurance requirement.

14b. Wheel & Rim Damage

Any damage to wheels and/or rims (including curb rash or wheel rash) incurred during the rental period will be subject to the following charges:

• Damage less than 3 inches in size: $250 per wheel/rim.
• Damage 3 inches or more: additional fees apply based on the extent of damage and cost of repair or replacement.

Wheel and rim damage is assessed during the return inspection and charges will be deducted from the security deposit or billed to the card on file.

15. Damage & Liability

The Renter is responsible for all damage to the rental vehicle occurring during the rental period, regardless of fault, including damage caused by weather, road conditions, third parties, or accidents. This includes damage to tires, wheels, the undercarriage, roof, and interior.

The Renter’s personal auto insurance is the primary coverage for the rental. A1 Lux Rentals strongly recommends confirming your coverage with your insurance provider prior to pickup.

A1 Lux Rentals reserves the right to charge the Renter for the cost of repairs, loss of use during repair, diminished value, and any applicable administrative fees arising from damage to the vehicle.

15b. Traffic, Parking & Toll Violations

The Renter is responsible for all parking, traffic, and toll violations incurred during the rental period. A $50 administrative fee per violation, plus the full cost of the violation, will be charged to the Renter.

Violations must be reported by the Renter upon return of the vehicle, or within 24 hours of receipt of a violation notice. Charges will be deducted from the security deposit or billed to the card on file. A1 Lux Rentals reserves the right to pursue collection for any outstanding violation charges.

16. Airport Pickup

For Renters selecting Logan International Airport as their check-in location, an A1 Lux Rentals team member will meet you at the designated limo/car service pickup area and transport you to our vehicle lot. This is not a door-to-door delivery service — the vehicle will be available to you at our lot.

For all other pick-up locations, pickup will be at our Dedham lot: 3 Allied Drive, Suite 303, Dedham, MA 02026.

17. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts.

By entering into this agreement, the Renter waives any right to a jury trial with respect to any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms.

18. Modifications to These Terms

A1 Lux Rentals reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
